Saint Kitts and Nevis is a dual-island nation situated between the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea. It's known for cloud-shrouded mountains and beaches. Many of its former sugar plantations are now inns or atmospheric ruins. The larger of the 2 islands, Saint Kitts, is dominated by the dormant Mount Liamuiga volcano, home to a crater lake, green vervet monkeys and rainforest crisscrossed with hiking trails. The population of the Saint Kitts and Nevis is 52,834 with the capital being Basseterre.
Saint Kitts and Nevis has a very high solar potential and set a renewable energy mix target of 50% by 2030. Presently Saint Kitts and Nevis energy mix is comprised of just 5% renewable energy on the public grid. Its electrical demand peaks at 35MW and its electricity prices are comparable relative to the rest of the Caribbean.
